Return and Refund Policy

  1. Returns & Exchanges
    We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you are not completely happy with your order, you may return it under the following conditions:
  • Timeframe: Returns must be initiated within 7 days of receiving your order.
  • Condition: Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in a resalable condition (unless faulty).
  • Exemptions: The following items cannot be returned due to hygiene, safety, or personalization:
    • Perishable goods
    • Personal care items
    • Digital/downloadable products
    • Customized or made-to-order items

  1. Faulty or Defective Products
    If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, we will gladly replace or refund it. Please provide:
  • A clear photo of the damaged/defective item
  • A description of the issue
  • Your order number

      We will assess the return request and arrange for a courier collection at no cost if approved.

  1. Refunds & Processing
  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 working days after receiving and inspecting the returned item.
  • Refunds will be made via the original payment method or store credit, depending on your preference.
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our side.

  1. Exchanges
  • If you need to exchange an item for a different size or color, contact us within 7 days of delivery.
  • Exchange approval depends on stock availability.
  • The customer may be responsible for return shipping costs.

  1. Change of Mind Returns
    Under South African law, change of mind returns are not mandatory. However, if we allow them, the following conditions apply:
  • The item must be in perfect condition with all tags and packaging intact.
  • A handling/restocking fee may be applied.
  • The customer covers return shipping costs.

  1. Cancellation Policy
  • Orders can be cancelled before dispatch for a full refund.
  • If an order has already been shipped, it must be returned following the above return policy.

  1. Non-Returnable Items
  • Items purchased on sale or clearance are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • Gift vouchers and store credit are non-refundable.

  1. How to Initiate a Return
    To start a return, please contact us at support@houseofdemeter.co.za with your order details and reason for return. We will guide you through the process and provide a return shipping address.
