About Cape Chamomile Oil
It has been traditionally used for medicinal purposes and in cultural rituals. The oil, characterized by its deep blue hue, is a result of azulenic compounds, making it distinctive from other chamomile oils.
Naturally found in the mountainous areas of the Eastern Free State and Cape Province, now commercially cultivated.
Extraction Process
The essential oil is obtained through steam distillation of the stems and leaves of cultivated clones. The resulting oil has great potential as a fruity flavor enhancer and is often considered an alternative to Roman Chamomile.
